Everybody was asleep or out or home for the week end, and it was very, very quiet and depressing in the corridor. When I was all set to go, when I had my bags and all, I stood for a while next to the stairs and took a last look down that goddam corridor. I was sort of crying. I don’t know why. and then I yelled at the top of my goddam voice, !” “Sleep tight, ya morons” I’ll bet I woke up every bastard on the whole floor. Then I got the hell out.

 . The Navy guy and I told each other we were glad to’ve met each other. Which always kills me. I am always saying “Glad to’ve met you” to somebody I’m not at all glad I met. If you want to stay alive, you have to say that stuff, though.

Game. Some game. If you get on the side where all the hot-shots are, then it’s a game, all right–I’ll admit that. But if you get on the other side, where there aren’t any hot-shots, then what’s a game about it?Nothing. No game.

arrived on thursday evening
then i will sleep till friday morning
then i will go to gao my social security number in the afternoon, say noon
then do some shopping in the afternoon, have dinner there too
then sleep sleep sleep sleep till Saturday
by that time my friends will be back :)
