Is it an ideal life?
Or is it just the most standard/boring/universally expected lifestyle in Hong Kong?

Absolute value doesn’t matter at all, it’s all relative.
但不是relative to other people,而是relative to yourself on different points on time-axis.
After all, everyone has his/her own pursuit of life. Don’t judge others, judge yourself.
