• got new eyeglasses today! (see below)….im my dad 2.0 :p
• started my 2-year-long medication, the side-effects are still quite prominent, hope they would die down soon before I started to work
• Went to a tarot shop today：

1. I would get to know my long-term partner in 2012, and start relationship in 2013.
2. Last year at MIT would be “fruitful”, and for sure I would go back to Hong Kong.
3. The health problem now is not serious. The card also predicted that I would start to deal with it early this year.
4. summer internship would be harsh..but I would complete it smoothly~
5. banking is just a stepping stone，MT/ government jobs are more probable。got an “unknown” card for consulting jobs…i.e. i know nothing about it.hahaha

我要跟Rubberband六號的聲線結婚。

回到香港了。一如既往，都是排山倒海的活動。每次回家都會發現一些細節上的變化，三年前的香港與今天已經面目全非了。現今已經沒有火車地鐵之分，現今朋友們都通通升級為上班族，現今爸媽都快退休了，三年內上上一代都去天堂打麻將了。

• 星期六日跟爸媽兩邊的姨媽姑爹見面。原來爺爺過身後，整個家族的聚會就銳減。家有一老，如有一寶是真的。爸爸說最齊人就要到婚禮，百日宴，和喪禮了。可能常常聽爸媽的感言，所以對時間流逝的感慨特別大。雖然明明還是大學生（茶）

• 這幾天也去了shopping上班的衣服。去了giordiano ladies 和zara 搶購，還順便買了兩對高跟鞋和新眼鏡。我的左眼竟然深了100度。嘩。錢喔，不花就不是自己的。maximize utility阿麻。哈哈
• 去看了醫生了。原來我的temporal lobe和hippocampus有先天性的機構性irregularity。由今天開始，要開始吃藥。還有，根據香港運輸處規定，我這類癲癇症病人，是一生都不會發牌給我的。學車byebye。
  所以呢，MIT是很厲害的，這個埋伏了20年的病，都了進大學才trigger到。哈哈。
• 昨天跟xg去了看科學館的Albert Einstein的special exhibition。非常值得看，整個exhibition的design也很正，當選Person of the Century實在當之無愧！！！確定要把 general relativity 和special relativity的wiki再看一次！
• 去了看rubberband x kay tse x so wing hong 的拉闊音樂會。我真的超級喜歡rubberband！！i loveeeeeeeee them。kay tse，可能是eason的關係我對她很反感。同一天還看見了，eason chan with wife（走過去問他可不可以合照，被保安拉走了－＿－），梁漢文，c all star，洪x立，藍奕邦，wyman，等等！

時差問題，六時早起，無所事事，翻看相簿。

• 又一個door-to-door 24 hours的旅程！叫taxi去logan是7：40am US time on Fri，上爹爹車係7：40pm HK time on Sat.
  
• Cathay is the best!! 超強entertainment system，雖然已經搭了這麼多遍都係gum話。同埋special request了要特別照顧，調了去aisle seat！下了飛機後還有空中先生拿著我的名牌，問我要不要幫我拿行李。哈哈 如果leng jai d 我應該會應承 :p
• 看了No Strings Attached, I am Number 4, 婚前試愛 and how I met your mother. thing is, 好多電影我都已經看過了。連big bang theory整個season我都看過了。orz …my favorite quote from No Strings Attached XD
  Adam: Wow, you go to MIT. You turned out to be a lot smarter than me.
  Emma: Yeah, sometimes my neck gets sore.
  Adam: Oh, why?
  Emma: Cause my brain is so big!
• 讀了蘋果，WSJ同埋 Reader’s Digest. the gold market caught my attention this time..coz it is extensively covered in WSJ and 蘋果財經. dun know much about the gold/commodities market..beside those ABC-level definitions when I was preparing for FICC interview hahha. good to learn!
  1.  In 2011 Q1, China surpasses India as the top buyer of gold/metals in the world. China and India now each accounts for around a quarter of global gold demand.
  2. jewelery/industrial demand — apetite for gold: inflation x soaring RMB –> growing middle class and wealthy individuals in China –> want luxury goods that symbolize power and wealth (not just gold..brand products, jewelery, antiques, collectors items, real estates..etc)
  3. Investment demand — valuable portfolio diversification/hedge:  historically, physical gold holding is one of the safest long-term hedge against inflation given its low beta. Its even more attractive with its stable upward momentum –gold price rose by fourfold in the past decade, outpacing all other major US stock indexes.
  4. Government reserve demand: China central bank is incorporating more gold holdings into its reserve. For US.. came across another opinion column on whether US should sell assets like gold to cope with the recent budget crisis. When dollar is weak, ppl shift to gold.
     (yes..that’s what I do when i have nothing to do on the plane -__-)

離開／回歸的流程

獨力把一箱又一箱裝滿書本衣服的紙皮箱搬到storage
把喜歡的夏季衣服鞋子手袋留下來，細心挑選到行李箱內
把ipod的歌曲列表整理一下，把一兩本小說放進書包裡
待到晨光熹微，開始調到香港的時間帶中
交還鑰匙，背著書包拉著行李出發logan airport
行裝輕便為主，hoodies，hea褲，薄頸巾，一對容易脫的鞋子
買一期不常閱讀的economist或者newsweek，大概連廣告也細讀一遍
買口香糖，支撐著我24小時的旅程。
期待，身邊有緣的搭客到底是誰？
期待，推著行李車走出香港機場禁區，
找到了－那幾張熟悉的臉！

潮濕天熱的世界，又來了！
