wednesday

just like towards MIT, I have this love-hate relationship with Wednesday.

middle of the week, half week passed, handed in Phy PSET and mastering physics by then

school finished at 4pm (which feel so much better than finishing at 5pm)

got work from 9am – 12 noon, true that it such a pain to wake up at 8:30am suddenly
(coz usually got class at 12noon ..) but at least i really got something to do
and earning US $30 per week, (which is enough for all my dinners at least..)

but then wht’s right ahead is 3 PSETs due, 2 more sleepless angry nights to go
then my happy friday night will come hehe

good news: finally done with my SSN !! =__=” hahaha i can get US $210  at once hoho in 2 weeks
i really dont know why random strangers will ALWAYS initiate chats with me
(even im reading my 18oh3 pset and with my ipod on)
its happened so many times already,not only on that UA plane, but EVERYTIME i went to casino
well anyway…….

so far i’ve got 40/40 for phy pset 1, 32/32 for math pset 1,
50/50 for cal pset, and 14/15 for bio pset
keep this up!!!!!
(….then grey jor found out one super long phy pset is only 0.47% of the whole thing)

Benjamin Button

“Life is not measured in minutes, but in moments.”

this I remembered correctly, this is the very first movie that
leaving me in tears right after the movie is finished (not at any time in the movie , but when it ended)
it is definitely emotionally taxing.

reason 1: the setting is so sad. its even sadder than getting old
seems i cant really make the reasons out in point form
but the msg is so strong that
people around you will become history at some point in the history timeline
they all got their own stories, own fates, their own loved ones
they have their shining days, their own ups and downs, getting old (except for benjamin)
no one can prevent saying goodbyes to their most loved ones,
this is the model of life.

time will push everything away eventually besides memories
and the new generation will come and substitute wht the old generation are doing.

everyone will have their peak years (no matter achievement, health, love, experiences) but will soon fade away

maybe its how this movie compressed benjamin’s life from the very beginning to the end in the few hours
people coming in and leaving in his life, things happened on him, how his decisions make things happen

anyway,
its a good movie, i wont say it become my favourite becoz it is very saddening
but it did induce me into deep thoughts about the meaning of life,
because many things are inevitable, really should treasure my sei-shun now.

my current impression on….
smart = you can do maths and solve problems, quickly, and can discuss boldly, firmly about ur idea in numbers. argue for ur life.
normal = you can do programming. you will start discussing about whtever problems written on white board.
capable= you are doing research with some xyz professor in some xyz labs
strange= you are not majoring in 2 (mechanical engin) , 6 (CS) or 18 (maths)

maybe nerdy is really the way to survive in this strange place.
u either be super nerdy, or super sink, be empty-minded bitch but still pretend to be smart

in LPC im cynical to everything except my school
now i dun really care about anything besides my school life,
if not heaing, its full of jealousy, despise , loath, troubles and problem sets.
then become very sensitive to any comments and taking any sort of feedback as offensive.

anyway, btw
recently im super super sensitive to loud sound / sudden noise
i will shiver / almost scream  hahaha

anyway hahah read a cute quote

love-hate-relationship
like i hate the clicker, which force u to go to class to gain that 5% of attendance grade
i hate it but at the same time it gives you credits

alas, life is full of contradition
