(1) managerial psychology
Last semester is my favorite semester in terms of class selection
This semester…2 of my classes are so-called communication-intensive classes
i.e. attendance/class participation in class is very important,
i.e. whenever you speak they will mark it down
not my style,
but I tried to force myself to raise up my hand and talk in big lectures like this..
(that’s why I leave these to my senior year..all my favorite classes are done haha)
today was the very first formal lecture…got my seat at the center of the first row.
see, it’s all for grades only…otherwise..why the hell would I pick a seat like this?
anyway, wish me luck la ha.
(2) P0l1tical Ec0nomy of East Asia
I AM THE ONLY STUDENT IN THE CLASS !!!!!!
Maybe it is the only time I am so sure that I will rank #1 in an MIT class XD
Not sure how it works, I thought in this case the class would get canceled
but the professor (a PhD in anthropology from Harvard) insisted that she could make it work
She asked me write down on a paper (right away in front of her) of my areas of interest in East Asia
and she will try to restructure the syllabus to my interest!! CRAZY!! @_@!!!
How would it work ?! a weekly 1-on-1 lecture? …..it gonna be interesting…very…hahaha
I honestly told her that I’m not a writer-by-training (except my blog..), she said it’s fine
When I was still overwhelmed by this 1-person only class, I went to grab my lunch
The fortune cookies from kendall court is as inspiring as usual :)

Here is what I wrote about my interest in east asia:
Japan – government, ‘soft power’ – pop culture, media, fashion, food
China – one-child policy, capitalism, westernization, urbanization, modernization, migration, media censorship/info flow control by gov
全班第一, 叻叻
P0l1tical Ec0nomy of East Asia
