My view:
- ‘My friend heard the following on the street today: “is this true? the prince married the princess, and the bad guy is dead” My friend’s comment: “But the catch is, the prince is balding” ‘
- Obama will be re-elected for sure.. this White House announcement is by far the most sentimental and symbolic one in the past 10 years
- No single death should be celebrated. joy over someone’s death stemming from hatred is very scary…should remain in scary twisted japanese movies only.
- bury at sea? guess Trump would now demand for Bin Laden’s long form death certificate.
- Obama’s White House speech: ‘The empty seat at the dinner table….Children who were forced to grow up without their mother or their father.” But our dear Nobel peace prize laureate, It’s happening to all the families when US was bombing upon Afghanistan too.
- Death of Bin Laden the icon = end of Al Qaeda? more like a catalyst of upcoming revenge attacks.

Good read:
Economists’ (e.g. Paul Krugman) reactions at WSJ
JPMorgan’s ““3 Reasons Death of Bin Laden Should Have Lasting Positive Effects on Equity Markets” at MarketWatch. (dun really agree with ‘diminish fear in global security —> significant less risk in equity’ only if its so simple…plus more like it will trigger another round of fear of terrorist attacks)
