to sum everything up, as a folded person, actually not much to be included =P
saw my roomie typing one so i will make one too la maybe
1) leave at Aug 15, international orientation where I know most of my closest friends in MIT now. freaked out by everyone knowing each other already becoz they are all from international Olympiads, but i didnt feel inferior at all becos everyone is very nice, i mean it
2) Convocation , a bit sad becoz everyone is with their parents, took photo with Susan H0ckfield , our principal
3) Passed the Japanese 5 placement test is something Im really proud of. and Japanese classes are the most enjoyable time in the weekdays.
4) After a year, the only places that I will go is Chinatown, Boston and Harvard Square
5) Got invited to local homes twice — one is my Seminar professor Herrings home, and one time is with my research postdoctoral fellow Moshe, eating 五香肉丁 ice-cream XD
6) went to movie once to watch Madagascar 2 …=_=” haha but watched hell lot of movies in this year
7) Won an IPod shuffle in a library survey
8) Lived in the student center study room for a week, literally living in there.
9) got an on-campus job as a front-desk worker..even my english sucks so much!!!
10) Rmb in the beginning I am so worried about having psets and exams every week…but anyway I still KO them =))
11) Singing in acapella for a year, perform at Lobby 7, stata center, and even have our own concerts ! tried to be solo twice =p
12) have really bad flight experience, trapped in San Franciso for a day but still able to do some sightseeing =D and OSAKA!!!
13) able to get a UROP…should be the easiest UROP ever hahaha…sometimes im just lucky…^^””
14) famous ppl I met — Al Gore, Russell Peters and my chem professor who is a Nobel Prize Winner XD
15) Went to New York with Vicky, went to Penn with Vicky and Jenny, went to Washington DC , and again went to NY with sungki
16) Overceeding Freshman limit credit is something Im proud of too XDDD gaining 66 credits instead of 54 in Fall
17) I have cried countless times in MIT, for the impossible psets, for the stress, for the bad scores I got , failures come in waves
18) Got full mark 25/25 for globalization presentation
19) Tried Cooking..actually so far, serious cooking is only 蛋包飯, chicken wings and linguini..or 炒公仔面
20) Did my very first internship at Wasabi Creat10n ..and got my very very first summer internship offer in my life…and surprisingly it is ibank haha, im not particularly proud of it though
21) getting 3As, especially A in physics is sth surprising to me.
22) lost so many things…dun wanna mention it anymore =_=
23) went to a Fall Formal ..thats the only time I wore dress at MIT?
24) Taken so many photos at Killian court with so many diff ppl!!!!!!
25) went to Wachusett Mountain for Foliage Hike…should be one of the most beautiful sceneries I have ever seen in my life
26) Got used to snowing, or super windy time
27) so many ppl visited..i.e. have taken photo with them at Kilian court. I am really an experienced tour guide now..=_=
